Boogies

Maybe I'm expecting too much. I've been going out dancing as much as I can lately, because it's good exercise and it helps to chase away the SAD (don't laugh - it's totally real and it's kicking my ass right now), but my ears are begging me to stay home.

Why is it that many of the local DJs insist on primarily playing douchey crap from the early part of the century? I know, I know - it makes a lot of folks happy when they can scream along to the song, but don't those supposed music enthusiasts see how hard everyone's dancing when they put on something familiar AND funky? I can't tell you how many times I've shook my head at the oxymoron of a club called F&*^k Fridays where no sexy songs are played. I have never once in in my life wanted to do it to the Shins or the Strokes. I'm just waiting for them to bust out "Hey Ya." Mark my words.

At least a couple of the guys agreed to play a little early Petty and then switched to some good soul jams at the end of the night.
