The Good

Oh Las Vegas, you crazy, opulent town. I thought you'd just be a big sequinned slap in the face, but obviously your wild excesses have attracted some decent artists. Did you know that there are more than a dozen installations of Dale Chihuly's work in the Bellagio? The ceiling in the lobby is around 200 feet of chandeliers he made. And he did the display at the Jean Phillipe chocolate store (the store where they asked me to put my camera away because they were getting annoyed by the fact that I was taking pictures of every single, amazing cake they had on display).

So, no big surprise - Vegas can be sort of beautiful.
